Srinagar, Nov 06 (KNO): Jammu and Kashmir Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) organized a Vigilance Awareness Programme in collaboration with Transport Department J&K at J&K Institute Management Public Administration & Rural Development (IMPA & RD) Main Campus, MA Road, Srinagar.
Other districts of UT of Jammu and Kashmir joined the programme through video conferencing from their respective Hqrs. All the stakeholders including public servants and people from all walks of life participated in the programme, a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).
The Officers of ACB delivered speeches on the wide range of topics related to the Transport Department including functioning of ACB responsibilities of public servants and awareness about curbing of menace of corruption. The programme remained quite interactive wherein the participants asked questions related to the topics which were responded to the ACB Officers.
Transport Commissioner, J&K was the Chief Guest on the occasion, who attended the event virtually from Jammu. Additional Transport Commissioner, J&K, SSP Traffic City Srinagar and RTO Kashmir were the Guests of Honour, who attended the event at Srinagar. RTO Jammu also attended the event virtually from Jammu.
Shakti Kumar Pathak, Director J&K ACB attended the program along-with AIsG of ACB Abdul Waheed Shah and Gurmeet Singh Ghuman.
The programme was also attended by Officers/Officials of all the Regional Transport Offices, Assistant Transport offices of UT of Jammu and Kashmir, Traffic Police Officers.
Program started with inaugural lecture delivered by Dr. Ashok Sharma, SP ACB Anantnag, Farooq Ahmad, Chief Prosecuting Officer ACB Anantnag, followed by lectures by Ajaz Ahmad Masoodi Exen ACB Kashmir, Shahnawaz, Accounts Officer ACB Kashmir, Mansha Beig Dy.S.P, Inspector Manzoor Ahmad Beigh spoke on the occasion on the menace of corruption, its evil impact on society and how it can be eradicated from society.
The speakers stressed upon stakeholders and common masses to be eyes and ears of Anti-Corruption bodies and contribute their bit towards making India Corruption free. Contact details of Anti-Corruption Bureau were also shared with the public/audience for registration of complaints of Corruption.
Feedback of the participants was collected through mobile app. On the basis of feedback received, ACB will send recommendations to concerned department for further necessary action.
Worth to mention here Anti-Corruption Bureau J&K also organized programs on the issue during Anti-Corruption Week every year. During those programs also ACB Srinagar organized extensive programs aimed at raising awareness about the menace of Corruption—(KNO)
